The Strength Based Approach: for Caseworkers, Educators and Allied Health Workers

6 hours /// In-person /// Next 2022 training: Thursday, 5 May, 9:30am – 4:00pm (includes 30 minute break)

This foundational workshop in The Strength Based Approach is the perfect induction for new staff or refresher for those looking to expand their application of Person-centred Practice and The Strength Based Approach in their workplace.

Insightful, fun and always highly relevant to your own working experience, these workshops are not just about skills development but are about reigniting your purpose and love of what you do and why you do it.

What does it mean to know your ‘enoughness’ and what has it got to do with your work with clients?

Central to this workshop is an exploration of ourselves as practitioners and the potentially powerful partnership that is possible with our clients when we know and appreciate our own strengths first.

Join this life-changing workshop to learn more about yourself, along with techniques and skills to support empowering conversations that leave you confident in how to engage a Strength Based Approach & Person-centred Practice with your clients and colleagues.

Covered in this workshop:
  • The basics of The Strength Based Approach & Person-centred Practice
  • Practitioner self-awareness and the importance of parallel practice
  • The tension of overwhelm
  • The River Metaphor (how to know if you are ‘drowning’ in your casework and how to avoid it.)
